Mathematical Models of Demand

The diploma thesis deals with the analyses of demand using standard tools of engineering mathematics. Mathematical models of demand, both single and multi- factor are investigated. Elasticity of demand is applied for decision making in price policy. Problems of optimization of demand reflecting utility and budget constraints are under consideration. Constructions of demand curve and compensated demand curve are presented. The text is accompanied by illustrative examples aiming at methodical aspects of the work
Draft of Optimization of Web Application for B2B

The purpose of this thesis is to design optimization of a webpage application designated for the B2B sector, which should improve a user experience in a significant way. A user experience issue was solved by analytical activities oriented on the webpage of www.webstopar.cz. The results of the analysis were supplemented by a qualitative research. The result of the bachelor thesis is a design of optimization of particular aspects of a user experience. The design implementation should improve the webpage quality from the point of view of a user experience and also bring the benefit of 10% increase in users of the service offered on the webpage. Moreover, the final design of this work is generally applicable for a large variety of Czech and foreign webpages.
The contribution of geography from the perspective of high school students

The main aim of the thesis was to know and understand how pupils of grammar schools perceive the contribution of geography to their personal and future academic and professional life. This aim was concretised and fulfilled through 4 research questions. The research questions are: How do grammar school pupils perceive the usefulness of the different topics in the subject of geography and the skills developed in the subject of geography? How do grammar school pupils see the application of geographical knowledge and skills in their current and future academic and professional life, and how do they see the application of geographical knowledge in professional life in general? How do grammar school pupils perceive the contribution of geography to their future study and working life and how do they perceive the overall contribution compared to other subjects? What contribution do pupils who perceive the usefulness of the knowledge and skills from geography lessons in their future personal, academic and professional lives attribute to the subject of geography? Comparison of selected performance indicators basketball players from NBA in matches at the European Championship in 2011 and World Cup 2014

Title: Comparison of selected performance indicators basketball players from NBA in matches at the European Championship in 2011 and World Cup 2014 Goals: Analyze individual efforts NBA players for two international events with national team, in broader context to evaluate and quantify their efficiency with the two special coefficients. Compare their performance on each tournament with using selected statistics, than compare them with the elite players in many categories at the championships, but also in their teams. I think very useful is final comparison their results on tournaments with their career averages from national team and NBA regular season, to see if the performances for national team achieve their performances in the best club competition in the world. In teoretical part I'll also focus to the socio-economic aspects affecting composition of national basketball teams, which significantly affect the overall composition and therofore their success , which is prestented by overall team placement. The use of foreign players in Czech extraleague baseball

Title: The use of foreign players in Czech extraleague baseball Objectives: The thesis aims to determine the contribution of foreign players who were active in the Czech baseball extraleague at the game and club level for the seasons 2015-2020. The diploma thesis compares the effectiveness of game performance of foreign players with Czech players. Conducting statistical analysis can show how many foreign players were on individual teams, and how effective they are for the team. Methods: The thesis analyzes secondary data obtained from the information system of the Czech Baseball Association and data collected by the baseball-stat web portal. Furthermore, semi-structured interviews were conducted with representatives of six Extraleague clubs. The number of foreign players in 2015-2020 and their national composition was examined. Central to the thesis were statistics such as Wins Above Replacement (WAR), Number of innings pitched (IP), Earned run average (ERA) and Batting average (BA). Results: In conclusion, the thesis analyzes secondary sources compared with an analysis of interviews with representatives of Extraleague clubs. Commonwealth of nations and its importance in politics

The goal of this thesis is to assess Commonwealth of Nations as an international organization and its usefulness for member countries. At the beginning, the thesis describes development of Commonwealth of Nations, what are its main principles, member countries and structure of the organization. Then it focuses on importance of the organization by examining how it helps to member countries to develop, especially according certain principles that are selected from basic Commonwealth document - Harare Declaration from 1991 and summarized into 8 main categories - democracy and global peace, education and youth support, human rights, health care, economic growth and internal trade, protection of environment, sport and culture. The thesis also mentions how programs on support in these categories are financed. Important is to evaluate whether Commonwealth´s activities designed to help are focused on countries which need the help most.

The thesis tests the promotion of innovative educational portal Udemy.com that offers online education. Herewith the term "education" in this context means not qualification courses for the purpose of obtaining a university or other professional degree or diploma, but education for personal and professional development. Thus, this work tests only online form, not face-to-face education. The aim of the thesis was to test the effectiveness of the innovations and projects promoting to the venture investors and managers on the World Wide Web. In this relation project means a web site. The practical part includes mainly the study of forms and channels of promotion, the effectiveness of the forms and channels and the impact of adding the component medias in order to shorten the introduction process of an innovation project Udemy.com. We are interested in medias from which the potential customers perceive the advertising and promoting of online education and which form of promotion induces them to involve in online courses participation.
